Jose Andres to open pop-up eatery

James Beard Award-winning chef Jose Andres is set to transform one of D.C.’s most buzzed-about restaurants: Cafe Atlantico. Andres will put Atlantico on hiatus June 12 and use the space to open entirely different sort of dining experience: America Eats Tavern.

The tavern, which will feature American classics, is a joint project with the National Archives, which is launching an exhibit at the same time about the government’s affect on the American diet.
